Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering is related to design, construction and development and maintenance of rural and urban settlement. After completion of this course, graduates will develop process and methodology associated with construction works, understanding of preliminary and detailed cost estimating. Graduates will be competent in surveying skills and be aware of field techniques enabling preparation of a detail and contour design and plan.
There is a high demand of civil engineers in developing countries like Nepal. In view of high job opportunities in government offices, construction projects, hydropower and rural development projects of NGOs, INGOs etc, One can pursue bachelor education in any branch of engineering and other faculties.

 

Computer Engineering

It introduces students to the foundation of computer engineering. It is related to software design and master the hardware architecture the computer system. It also helps you to master in micro controller, hardware interfacing design and aspect of real time programming.

After completion of the course, graduates can start career in software development, technical design and IT related private and public sectors. He / She can also join undergraduate programs in engineering or other streams.

Electrical Engineering(Proposed)

Electrical Engineering is the study of application of electricity- from small circuitry to high voltage power generation and supply networks. It is a very broad subject which covers powers, control system, signal processing and hydro power to Telecommunication.

Graduates in the course can pursue his/her career in design and production of power system, nation’s power grid for transmission and distribution of electricity and hydro power. He/She becomes eligible for higher studies in similar streams or other disciplines.

Geomatics (Surveying) Engineering (Proposed)

It is rapidly developing discipline that focuses on spatial information. Geomatic engineering integrates science and technology to design, develop and operate system for collecting and analyzing spatial information about land, ocean, natural resources and manmade features. Students will have adequate knowledge and skill in spatial data acquisition, modeling, analysis and management of spatially referenced data.

Graduates can start career as surveyors/Geomatics technician for the Government offices and engineering construction industries. He/She becomes eligible for higher studies in similar streams or other disciplines.

Course Duration and Attendance

Full time students complete the program in three years, which include six semesters. Each year consists of two semesters of six months each. Students should have at least 80% attendance in each semester to sit for their CTEVT final examinations.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must have completed School Leaving Certificate (SLC) (should at least obtain C Grade in  Math and Science and D+ grade in English)or Technical SLC (CTEVT).
Duly filled form requires to be submitted along with Xerox copy of certificates of above qualification and citizenship.
Eligible students must pass Entrance Examination conducted by CTEVT.
An interview along with the guardian will be taken before the enrollment.
